Without realizing it, it all began for me October 2001, when I was only 13. That's when I started bboying. In a school dance, I heard about a couple bboys who were at our school, and I said to my friend, who is now in the same crew as me, "lets start breaking." A month later I went to my first jam, it was called "Back 2 Da Underground" held by Dyzee. Maybe it was my first jam, but I still remember it being so RAW that I fell in love with the dance, and continued.

Now up until the 2006 summer is when my bboying took a different turn. Up until this point, I had never had anyone help me out with my dancing. Everything I was capable of doing at this point, I taught myself. But I was at a Supernaturalz practice, when one of the guys, Astro saw me practicing something, and thought it was pretty dope. He came over to me and gave me props for this one set I threw down and we continued throwing down with one another. We hooked up for the rest of the summer and started practicing with each other. He started helping me correct everything, from my tops, groundwork, to power which he couldn't even do, strangely enough. But the most important thing he gave me was the advice of "being original." He started telling me the bboy history within Toronto. Telling me about legends who came out of the city like Bag of Trix, Gizmo, Megas, Deadly Mike, Dyzee. What all these guys had in common was being original. That's what Toronto stood for. That was the Toronto Style, to be Original. Astro was my bridge into the bboy community. After about a month of chilling with each other, he saw the potential within me, and asked me if I wanted to start a crew with him. The rest is history.

Bboying has grown on me since I started. It has become more than the moves and the music. Its become a way of guidance, a way thinking for me, a way of life. The way I approach my dance, is the way I approach life, and vice versa. Its through bboying that I met my friends, had some of the best experiences in life, taught my self valuable life lessons, but also I found my future career through this dance, Hip Hop through Social Work. This way of life has brought happiness and satisfaction into my life, and the reason I messaged C-La. I wanted to fly out and help her with her project. I wanted to be able to go out share my story with the kids in Korea, to hopefully inspire them and give them a passion in life. So when they wake up every morning, life is sweet knowing you have something you love that much in your heart.
